The Best Buy Spares team approached Galbus to create a cost effective e–commerce solution. They already had a successful established eBay store, Wildcat Quads. After discussion it was determined that BBS would greatly benefit from the development of an online brand. It was agreed that the website should have the functionality to take online payments directly. This would bypass the mounting costs of selling through an eBay account and would quickly pay for the costs of the web developent in itself.
The logo and style for the web site was promptly developed and refined. When the final web site designs were signed off the e–commerce solution was implemented allowing customers to pay by credit card, debit card, cheque or PayPal.
A Google AdWords campaign was set up to bring new users to the web site and complements slips were produced to inform existing eBay customers about the new web site. The result has been an astounding success, creating more sales than expected at a much lower transaction cost than the company was previously being charged.
